Anonymous email has it's merits. I found this to be very helpful for things like registering software and downloading some software that require an email address, pre-release software for testing and bug reporting, registering on websites where you would like to remain anonymous. This seems like a good service but I haven't tested it fully, time will only tell for this but I like the idea.
https://www.hushmail.com/
It's described as a private email account with no ads, first class technical support and unlimited email aliases (payed account only). It's a privacy-oriented email service with built-in encryption and no third-party advertising.
You don't need another email address to register and creating an account is as quick as choosing a new funky email address and then a password phrase. That's all you need to do. When you create your account the website will offer you a premium payed account but on the right hand side there is a free account option with 25mb email space. Just choose that and don't abuse the free service. The only requirement for the free account is that you need to log in at least once every 3 weeks to keep your account active.
