I stumbled across a Japanese freeware game tonight and is a very small download sizes of under 1mb.

From what I can work out from Yosshin's webpage it's called ChoRenSha 68k. It's a nice SHMUP typical of scrolling shooters from around 2000. Fast paced with constant shooting action.
